Hi everyone! It’s Katie with Breastfeeding Bliss. If you’re a breastfeeding mother who’s more comfortable covering up when you breastfeed in public, then you’re going to need a good nursing cover. When I was breastfeeding my girls, I had a really great multi-use nursing cover that I loved, and so today, I want to show you one of my favorite nursing ponchos that we carry – this beautiful Feeding In Progress nursing poncho. I’m going to show you ten different ways you can use it.
The first way is obviously as a nursing cover! You just sling it over one shoulder like this, and since my girls are done breastfeeding, I’m going to use their doll as my model. Just slide baby under. She still has lots of room, and she can breathe, and you can see her, but you have some coverage, which is great.
Another way is as a long scarf – like this. Or, as a neck scarf. Just arrange it like that.
If you’re someone who’s always cold, like me, you can use it as a lap blanket at dinner, or anywhere really. Just fold it up, and it goes on your lap.
It’s also a really great blanket for the baby. It’s really super soft. Baby can use it as a blanket, or as a car seat cover. It just goes over and protects her from the elements.
Similar to a blanket, it can also be used as a swaddle. Fold it in half and swaddle baby. My swaddling skills are a little bit rough at this point. She’s nice and covered.
Anytime you go anywhere in public, like a park with swings, or highchairs when you’re out to dinner – anywhere that you don’t want baby eating or touching the handles or chewing on them – you can just arrange this and still slide baby in the bucket seat. Because of the loop design, it can cover up where she would grab with her hands or her mouth.
Similar to the car seat is a stroller cover. You can just drape this over the stroller and protect baby from the elements.
As a shopping cart cover! We don’t have a full-size shopping cart here, but we do have this little one. Again, baby can still slide her feet in, but then you can arrange this so she doesn’t grab or bite onto the handles and get all germy.
Ok, so there you have it! I also wanted to show you how easily this folds up. As I mentioned, it’s really soft and compact, and so if you fold it a few times – I’m going to put it in my JuJuBe Hobobe Bag – and you can see there’s still plenty of room; it fits really nice. So, it’s just a really nice nursing poncho.
I think that’s it! Thanks so much for watching. If you like this video, don’t forget to follow us, and we’ll see you soon!About Katie Stansberry
